Gnishik Visitor Center

Hidden in pristine nature among towering mountains, Gnishik Visitor Center is set in Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia, in a small village with a population of around 200 people. Ornate road running through the gorges, extending far into the virgin mountains is an unimaginably picturesque path that leads to the Visitor Center. Constructed in 2019 by The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC), with the support of VivaCell-MTS, World Land Trust and FPWC Board Member Haig Balian the Visitor Center is a symbiosis of comfortable living and untouched, virgin nature. Here our visitors can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in the tranquility of pure nature.
Explore the hiking trails, historical monuments or simply relax on your balcony and soak up the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Set amidst the Gnishik canyon, which leads up to the Noravank monastery. It is a perfect spot for exceptional hikes, mountain biking, jeeping, horseback riding, wildlife observation, and birdwatching tours, which are all accessible services provided by our Visitor Center. To ensure your satisfaction, our experienced guides and rangers are always there to provide professional and outstanding services.
The idea behind Gnishik Visitor Center is simple: providing exceptional, unforgettable experiences for our guests, subsequently redirecting the collected revenues to the community development and conservation goals.
